Dyson has introduced its first handheld fan, the HushJet Mini Cool, featuring a motor that spins up to 65,000 RPM and priced at $100.
The launch marks a significant expansion for Dyson into the handheld market, leveraging its proprietary HushJet air projection system, which was previously used in its air purifiers. The fan is designed to deliver focused airflow of up to 25 m/s, equating to 55 mph, while maintaining a compact design weighing only 7.5 ounces.
The HushJet Mini Cool offers five speeds and a boost mode, intended to provide increased airflow during high temperatures. It charges via USB-C and includes a charging stand, allowing it to stand independently for desk use. The rechargeable battery supports up to six hours of operation per charge.
