Google announced updates to its Ads Advisor tool, designed to assist marketers in optimizing their Google Ads campaigns through artificial intelligence.
The tool, launched in November, aims to enhance campaign management by learning from prior interactions and providing contextual suggestions. Google stated that Ads Advisor has been successful in helping marketers “spark creative ideas, unlock new insights, and drive performance.” The updates expand its capabilities into troubleshooting and security.
Ads Advisor will now offer proactive troubleshooting advice regarding policy violations and personalized guidance to resolve ad issues. “We are introducing Real-Time Policy Reviews to provide instant, in-workflow guidance as you create and edit campaigns,” Google explained. The system will proactively scan ad accounts for fixes, providing a clear path to resolution for complex violations and may even take action automatically.

Advanced security monitoring will also be implemented, featuring custom profile suggestions. “Ads Advisor will soon monitor your account around the clock and share personalized recommendations, like reviewing flagged domains and dormant users,” Google said. A new security insights dashboard and passkeys have been introduced to bolster account protection.
Moreover, Ads Advisor will facilitate instant certifications by identifying when a business requires a Google certificate, either granting it automatically or enabling a one-click application. Google noted this feature “will turn weeks of paperwork into instant approvals” by scanning industry and country regulations.
Ads Advisor will request approval before any action is taken in a marketer’s account and will maintain a complete change history for transparency. The updates are expected to simplify the management of Google Ads and enhance user awareness regarding optimization options and potential issues. Google stated that these enhancements aim to ensure smoother advertising campaigns.
