Google has fully integrated NotebookLM, its AI-powered research tool, into the Gemini app, allowing users to create notebooks directly within the chatbot.
This integration expands the functionality of NotebookLM, which was first launched as a standalone app last year. Users can now access new notebook options from Gemini’s side panel and add various types of content, including PDFs, documents, website URLs, YouTube videos, and copy-pasted text.
NotebookLM compiles this information into a searchable repository, enabling users to request content generation like reviews, infographics, and video and audio overviews based on their uploaded materials.

Google has issued a warning regarding the accuracy of information produced by NotebookLM, advising users to verify outputs to avoid potential inaccuracies.
The integration is rolling out this week for Google AI Ultra, Pro, and Plus subscribers on the web. Mobile access and expanded availability for free users are set to follow in the coming weeks.
