Meta announced an update to its Accounts Center, enhancing management features for user accounts. The update will now incorporate Threads profiles, AI glasses accounts, and other Meta-related products, centralizing control in one location.
The updated Accounts Center already supports Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, and will expand to include products such as Meta AI and Meta Quest headsets. This move aims to simplify user access and improve security across multiple applications.
According to Meta, “Your day-to-day experiences with Meta technologies will stay the same. Once your Accounts Center updates to a Meta Account, you’ll have a simpler login experience for your apps and devices, enhanced security features, and the ability to manage more settings and preferences in one place.”

The update is particularly relevant for parents, allowing them to oversee teens’ supervised accounts without switching between apps. Users will manage settings for Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta Horizon from a centralized dashboard via the Family Center. Meta stated, “We’ll continue improving our supervision tools to make life easier for busy parents.”
The centralized login feature enables users to create a single password for all Meta apps and devices. The setup process for new devices has been improved to reduce time by sharing login data across apps. Users will also gain access to advanced security options like passkeys, which allow them to log in using fingerprint, face recognition, or a device password.
“With your Meta Account, passkeys will now work on Instagram, in addition to Facebook and Messenger, with more apps coming soon. WhatsApp passkeys are managed within WhatsApp independently,” Meta added. WhatsApp remains in a higher security tier, offering more management options while allowing users to link it with the Accounts Center for streamlined access.
A new feature will enable users to manage how Meta apps share information with each other. The updates are designed for simplicity, making account access easier and enhancing security through improved setup processes and security check-up tools.
Meta confirmed that existing Account Center details will automatically transition to the new experience, ensuring continuity for users as they adapt to the updated platform.
